Sexual Addiction Support Groups
(It is strongly encouraged that individuals seeking to break free from pornography or sexual addiction attend a weekly support group meetings. This is not an addiction you can defeat on your own.)
A typical Walking Free meeting begins in a large group setting with a time of worship, testimony and teaching. Men then divide up into safe and structured small groups of six to eight for sharing and accountability. Small group time closes with prayer for each man. When you come to Walking Free, expect an environment of acceptance and grace in which men can be honest and real with one another. You can also expect to be understood and encouraged, as well as challenged and held accountable.
Pure Desire offers Christian-focused support groups for men in a comfortable and confidential environment.
The Journey is a community of women who have experienced betrayal and loss as a result of their spouses’ struggle with pornography addiction or other life-dominating, sexual sins. Journey groups give women a safe place to: Grieve with others who can identify with their pain. Grow in identifying and expressing emotions. Learn to set healthy boundaries with themselves and others.
Accountability Software Programs
(Be advised that accountability software programs are not a cure for pornography or sexual addiction. They are a temporary resource that can serve to keep someone from engaging from acting out while they do the work necessary to manage their addiction.)
This software monitors the websites visited, the search terms used, the YouTube videos watched and then lists them in an easy-to-read report that is designed to start a conversation about healthy online habits. Each account allows the installation of the software on up to five electronic devices.
